The Pattern Manifesto

Patterns are all around us.

Observe the world with all your senses.

After a while rhythm and patterns will start to emerge.

They could be visual,
expressed in shape
or arrangements of objects.

They could be repeating aspects of sound or smell.
Constellations of people, emotions, words, music, logic.

There is no way escaping them.
Our brain is hardwired to perceiving them,
even where they might not really exist.

Find those patterns. Collect them.
Analyse, abstract, catalog and dissect them.

Turn them into reusable templates, building blocks.
Make them part of your vocabulary.

Reuse those patterns.
Remix and repurpose them.
Make new connections.
Create new meaning.

Build your own language.
Find your own voice.

Cloe up of white blossoms on green leaves forming a repetitive organic pattern.
Bright colorful painted tiles of the Alhambra in Andalusia.
Stones underneath the water surface.
Stones on a rocky beach arranged into heaps and towers looking like building structures.
